Consolidating the platform, bringing the first product to market and laying the foundations for industrial growth.
ACT4’s growth pathway combines completion of research activities, regulatory progress for its first nutraceutical product and preparation of the production capacity needed to address commercial opportunities.
The strategy has three steps: complete the development phase supported by TerraNext funding, begin the clinical pathway to evaluate the product, and raise further resources for industrialisation.
Time horizon: the next six months
The first objective is to complete development of the coenzyme Q10 product made using the ACT4 technology platform. It is a CoQ10-containing nanoemulsion in a syrup-style bottle, designed for use as a food supplement, subject to completion of the applicable regulatory requirements.
Priorities include:
Time horizon: to be planned within the next six months
ACT4 intends to initiate a human clinical study to evaluate the CoQ10 formulation against predefined oxidative-status parameters. This will investigate the relevance of preclinical findings and gather evidence directly in humans.
The pathway requires definition of the protocol, endpoints, study population and conduct conditions, together with the applicable authorisations and ethical and regulatory requirements.
The objective is stronger scientific validation, keeping results already obtained in preclinical models distinct from evidence to be generated in the human study.
Time horizon: after consolidation of development milestones
Completion of current activities will underpin a new investment round, primarily intended to establish an industrial production line.
The investment will support planning for the transition from development-scale production to capacity suited to market needs, with attention to reproducibility, quality control, traceability and economic sustainability.
ACT4 is in contact with stakeholders who have expressed interest in the platform and first product. In parallel, the company plans to expand its network of potential customers, distributors and industrial partners through scouting and business development.
The round will therefore support both production infrastructure and the ability to translate commercial interest into agreements and sales volumes.
The ACT4 roadmap connects scientific research, regulatory development, clinical validation and industrial production.
The first CoQ10 product is the starting point for a broader strategy: creating value from the proprietary platform through ingredients and formulations for different markets, with an approach based on evidence, quality and industrial collaboration.
