ACT4 is an innovative startup developing a proprietary technology platform for the encapsulation and delivery of lipophilic molecules. Our technology addresses a common challenge for poorly absorbed active ingredients: preserving their stability and supporting their availability in the intended application.
By producing oil-based emulsions with submicrometre particles, ACT4 incorporates molecules of nutraceutical, food and cosmetic interest into liquid formulations designed to protect them and facilitate their use.

Encapsulation helps protect active ingredients and keep them dispersed in the formulation. In laboratory studies, the ACT4 platform has demonstrated dimensional stability of the emulsion for over one year, an important aspect in developing products intended for storage and commercialisation.
The technology is designed to incorporate ingredients with poor water solubility, extending formulation options and integration into different products.
The liquid formulation can be developed for nutraceutical applications and as a functional ingredient in foods and beverages. Spray delivery also opens up opportunities in cosmetics, including combinations with innovative biomaterials.

ACT4 develops and tests technological solutions that turn scientific results into prototypes and opportunities for industrial innovation.
Activities include the study of antioxidant molecules, formulation assessment in experimental models, food ingredient development and cosmetic prototypes.
Nutraceuticals: formulations containing molecules of antioxidant interest, including coenzyme Q10, curcumin and lycopene.
Food innovation: functional ingredients for food matrices, from dairy products to jelly sweets.
Cosmetics: formulations combining nanoemulsions and biomaterials to explore new ways of stabilising and releasing ingredients.
We collaborate with food companies, nutraceutical operators, cosmetic businesses and scientific partners to develop formulations and prototypes that address practical application needs.
