The ACT4 team develops the technology platform, formulates nanoemulsions containing lipophilic active ingredients and evaluates their potential applications in nutraceuticals, food and cosmetics.
Activities include experimental design, formulation characterisation, prototype development and the transfer of research results towards industrial applications.

ACT4 connects research, product development, business needs and production planning. Industrial development activities aim to establish the conditions for transferring the technology to reproducible, controlled processes suited to market requirements.
ACT4 works with Andrea Pistola on HACCP and hygiene management matters relevant to food development activities. His contribution supports attention to process hygiene, risk management and the appropriate organisation of food application activities, according to the process and intended product use.
Alongside its internal expertise, ACT4 builds relationships with scientific partners, food companies, industrial operators and commercial stakeholders. These collaborations help explore new applications, address practical market needs and support the transition from experimental work to industrial development.
